Today's article is more about people and less about blogging. Sometimes your blogging career will bring new faces and friends into your life and once in a while you will get an opportunity to meet up with these special people in person.
Today was such a day for me. My blogging activities lead me to attend a live broadcast by Bill McIntosh. (Yes, that is the same Bill McIntosh who is currently conducting the infamous ContestBurner contest, which so recently created so much traffic to his Youtube video that it was pulled by Youtube. Bill discovered that he had to caution his contestants that from now on they could not post more than two video responses a day or Youtube would object.)
Bill has a free live broadcast every Tuesday night at 6:30 (Pacific time) and during the broadcast the viewers are able to chat back and forth in a chat box. There I met up with a lady by the name of Christina Hood. We exchanged emails, websites, etc. and now several weeks later I am here at her house getting ready to head off for Las Vegas in the morning with her and her husband, Greg, to attend a seminar on a product I am considering marketing.
As a result, I have spent most of the day on the road without web access and am posting this article just shortly before midnight.
Yet, I think this is an important element of the web experience because behind every web site there are real people and when you get the chance to meet up with them personally you are doubly blessed by the connection.
