A Hub Pages Guide: How to Survive a Recession
Drive Less - Share More Ideas
I gave up driving even the short distances I usually drive for 30 days in order to avoid a month of foot-high ice, to exercise further, and to better acclimate to the colder winter we are experiencing this year. I’ve met many people that are finding ways of handling the recession, including walking more often and taking the bus instead of driving.
This article will provide useful advice for surviving and prospering in a recession, including job search, events in the workplace, salaries, financial literacy, ways to save money, and low-cost recipes to help feed your family.
Some motivational at the end will being you a boost as well. Much success to everyone!
Light at the End of the Tunnel
When a blog not a blog? Do such sites as Squidoo and Hubpages qualify for consideration when discussing blogging?
I say they do. Both are sites that allow the user to set up their own profile and publish articles on topics of their choice. That fits my definition of a blog for the purpose of my own personal challenge of posting for 365 days in a row.
So today, I am featuring Patty Inlish MS, a HubPages author and her article on surviving the recession.
Patty shares some rather innovative tactics for hedging against recession practiced by everyday people. Sure, we've been told to walk more and drive less but Patty took on this task as challenge in order to avoid driving on icy roads for 30 days.
For me the inspiration in this article comes not from what people are doing to cope financial challenges but in the the positive attitudes demonstrated by the people she writes about.
