Okay, so this post has nothing to do with which credit card you carry but maybe a little to do with your choice to have a credit card in the first place. My lesson for the day in The 100 Day Challenge covered making choices and I was surprised by one train of thought: we know that bad choices have consequences but do we acknowledge that good choices bare fruit too?
Not rocket science I know but I found it worth pondering. Most times I forget that making the choice to have a nectarine instead of a dish of ice cream will have good results. It's a small step but it is a step toward better health instead of obesity.
Likewise, in developing an online business. Setting a goal, listing my daily tasks, checking off those completed are each a choice and a step toward that goal. Whereas, trudging through new email offers, browsing the internet and surfing TV channels are all steps off the main path or detours that at best delay my getting to my preferred destination.
Until recently, the road between San Felipe and Mexicali was under construction. The detours were only off to the side of the main road, running parallel, but they were poorly graded, often filled with rocks or rutts to avoid. The trip between towns took longer and was more exhausting.
I think, for me, new launches are just like these detours. They divert me from the direct path and lengthen rather than shorten our journey. Today I am making the choice to stay on the highway.
