I am certainly not! At least not yet. So I am into week three of the new affiliate program offered by Wealthy Affliates and I have managed to get my own Internet Marketing web page created and published. I have learned to how to view the "stats" on my various posts and discovered a neat thing. The lessons say that if you post articles and blogs and link them back to your web page that you will find that you get increased traffic to your pages and it appears to be true! Here I am three weeks into the program and I find that my Squidoo lens has 5 stars and jumped to an overall ranking of in the tens of thousands and a catorgory ranking of less that 3000. Now that may not sound exceptional to you but when you look at the average overall ranking as being in the 200,000+, I say that's not bad at all for a rookie!
In week six, I set up a couple of U.S. Free Ads for my daughter's custom designed Keds and found that immediately after placing the ads my keywords brought me up number five on the page in a Google search... sitting right beside some big money folks like Keds and Converse. I was astounded. The high page rank appeared to be short lived. A couple of days later the same search produced not a sign of our ads. This leads me to believe that Google's priorities are strongly linked to current postings.

Week 8 complete and I haven't made a single sale yet though which makes be think I may need to go back to page one and rethink my product line. I think the tools are there to do this. There being Wealthy Affiliate University. I think their 8-week boot camp program has me started on the right track! It covers all the basics. Product research, web set up, getting free ads and search engine optimization.
In addition, they have now added a Share Zone where members can also post tips and tricks. On top of that, WA also provides web hosting as part of the package. There hosting site is about the easiest I have seen yet. It is really a wealth of information.
I'm impressed!
